June 5 –  Kiwanis Classic Border Bash basketball tournament at the Gogebic Community College. The Kiwanis Club of Ironwood is holding their annual Border Bash basketball tournament between elite high school athletes hand-picked from schools across the UP and northern Wisconsin. The games will be at the Lindquist Student and Conference Center Gym at the Gogebic Community College. Girls game starts at 5:15 and boys at 6:45 (central standard time). Tickets are $12 adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door. 50/50 raffle. Concessions by the Golden Dragon Restaurant.
