Lake Gogebic fishing has been a bit tougher this week. Perch, walleye and bass continue to come in but most anglers are having to work for them. Bass and walleye are hitting in hard bottom areas feeding on crayfish. Others continue to work the weeds in 6 to 12ft. using crawlers and leeches. Depths of 25ft. to 28ft.are also producing walleye and perch. Mayfly hatches have been active this week again. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort

July 1st, 2015

June 23rd, 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slow as of mid week. Seems all species have been slow, possibly due to mayfly hatches this past week. Minnows and leeches still are producing best for walleye fished near weeds and weed edges in 8 to 10ft. of water. Perch are hitting crawlers in the weeds, but also has been slow. Smallmouth activity has slowed down near shorelines with a better bite near weeds and rocky areas. Good luck and be safe. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

June 10th , 2015

Lake Gogebic walleye are still hitting minnows and leeches in 14 to 21ft. with the crawler bite improving. A good low light bite in shallow areas with a lot of under size fish still being caught. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine pines Resort 906-842-3361

June 5th , 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slower this week mostly for keeper walleye. Most anglers are catching fish using minnows and leeches but size is running small. Bass  action has improved with anglers using artificials near shore, crankbaits and twister tails. Perch continues to be slow with crawlers working best. Northern are still hitting large minnows. Weed beds are coming up nicely so action is improving in those areas. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

May 27th , 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing remains fair. Most anglers are catching fish but many are running small. Sucker minnows and leeches continue to work the best. Work 18 to 22ft. and shallow for a good low light bite as many are doing well off shore in the evenings. Northern Pike and smallmouth are hitting as well with the Perch bite still slow. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Lake Gogebic anglers are excited for the opener this Friday May 15th! Ice has been out for weeks, so walleye have been done spawning for some time. Should still expect a good low light bite in shallow areas. Many larger fish will still be deeper or near the shoreline breaks. Sucker minnows and fatheads will still be the first choice for baits. Because of warmer water temps you can also expect anglers to be using leeches and crawlers as well. Next report will follow the opener! Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

April 2nd, 2015

Lake Gogebic  ice angler pressure has been very light. Currently more of an ice report. Mild temps are starting to erode access on shorelines in many areas. Ice travel is not recommended! Best to look forward to the Walleye opener on May 15th. Normal reports will resume closer to the opener. See you in May! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

March 20th , 2015

Lake Gogebic report has been good! Perch anglers are having good success in 22ft. to 28ft. using wigglers and spikes. Some nice Jumbo`s have been hitting the ice along with good numbers of fish being marked. Current ice conditions are great. Expect 18 to 24 inches of ice with no snow. Only a few areas are reporting slush with most of the lake being great travel for atv`s. The five day forecast shows lows in the twenties and highs up to forty. Currently the conditions have been excellent in the mornings with a softer surface by end of day and looks to stay about the same.

Remember current conditions can change quickly! Please check locally at the areas you plan to access. Reports are not a guarantee of safety, only angler activity. Be safe and have fun! Barry (Bear) Drews at bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Marc 13th , 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slow despite warm temps. Perch anglers continue to target 20ft. to 28ft. using wigglers and spikes. Reports are nice quality jumbo fish , but few in numbers. Lake conditions vary with wet conditions and slush. Some areas are good for ATV travel while others are best with snowmobile. Reminder walleye season closes Sunday March 15th. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361.

Feb 28th , 2015

Lake Gogebic angler activity has picked up this weekend with warmer more normal temps in forecast. From 20 below to 20 above should make a great change for both anglers and the bite. Better reports are already in with most marking fish and some nice perch and walleye being caught. Although better reports have been scattered it is a good sign. Walleye have been hitting sucker minnows and jigging raps in 20 to 28ft. Same depths for perch using wigglers and spikes. Lake travel is good, snowmobile is best. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Feb 27th , 2015

Lake Gogebic continues to experience below zero temps and little angler activity. Reports remain slow. Anglers are still fishing 24ft. to 28ft. of water using wigglers for perch and sucker minnows for walleye. Ice conditions are good with 1ft. to 2ft. of snow. Snowmobile travel  is good. Best of luck! barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Feb 19th , 2015

Lake Gogebic report has not changed. Bitter cold 20 below temps and wind have kept most anglers off the ice. Both perch and walleye remain slow. Anglers working 25ft to 28ft have reported marking lots of fish but unable to get them to bite. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Feb 12th , 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has not changed this week. The few anglers that have been out are reporting slow and slow for both perch and walleye. Best reports at least marking fish have come from 25ft. to 28ft. over the mud. Lake travel is good with snowmobile. A fresh blanket of snow with 3 to 5 inches and winds  will cause some drifting. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Feb 3rd, 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slow for both perch and walleye. The few anglers out are concentrating in 20 to 26ft. depths for both with some working 8 to 12ft. during low light conditions. Lake travel has been good with 1 to 1.5 feet of snow on the surface. Some untraveled areas have 3 to 6 inches of slush under the snow. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Jan 14, 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing has been fair. Warmer temps have improved the angler activity and the fish action as well. Walleye continue to hit jigging raps, spoons and sucker minnows fished in 22ft to 27ft. and also in 7ft to 12ft during low light conditions. Perch are hitting wigglers and spikes fished in 23ft to 26ft over mud. Lake travel is good. We have about 12 inches of fresh snow on the lake surface, but snowmobile travel has been good, with only a few slush pockets. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361.

January , 7th 2015

Lake Gogebic fishing was best this past week  before the cold temps hit. The weekend seen a tough bite with below zero temps and high winds. Anglers braving the cold were catching walleye in 8 to 12ft. using jigging raps and sucker minnows mostly during low light conditions. Walleye also coming from 23 to 27ft. using the same methods. Perch anglers are getting a few nice jumbos using wigglers in 22 to 27ft. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Dec 30th , 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slow. Only a few fair reports on both Perch and Walleye just during the last snow. Since then cold temps have settled in and most are having  a tough bite. Lake conditions have improved greatly. Travel has been good with snowmobile, foot and some ATV`s. Surface conditions have firmed up great. Walleye have been hitting in 7 to 12ft. during low light conditions, also 25 to 26ft. have produced some nice keepers. Sucker minnows and jigging rapalas have been best. Perch anglers are fishing the mud in 23 to 26ft. using wigglers. Best of luck! and happy New Year! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort

Dec 25th , 2014

Lake Gogebic report is fair. Walleye are hitting sucker minnows and jigging rapalas in 7 to 15ft. of water and also in deep water 22ft. to 27ft. low light conditions have been producing best. Perch anglers have been working  22ft. to 26ft. using wigglers over mud with mixed reports for action. Lake conditions are wet, so expect areas of slush. Ice reports are ranging from 8 to 12 inches. Some well  traveled areas are better, but watch for slush in less traveled areas. Both foot and snowmobile travel are being used. Current mild temps are predicted to drop by sat. which should improve travel conditions for the weekend. Best of luck! and Merry Christmas! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

November 20th , 2014

Lake Gogebic report, snow! And more snow! Fishing activity had moved to zero. Smaller lakes and Gogebic`s bays had some ice on them about a week ago followed by heavy snow equals poor first ice conditions. Gogebic`s main lake froze over 11-17-14 following heavy snow, so the lake surface was slushy when it froze, once  again a poor recipe for a solid start to the winter season. Warning!!!! First ice is danger! This report is only to advise of conditions. As you know from past seasons I will resume reports after lake activity has picked up and safe travel is common, normally around Christmas/New Years time frame.

Deer  Hunting season is here with very little activity. Hampered by heavy snows, the only travel is by snow shoes and snowmobile. Even snowmobile travel is very difficult! We have received well over 60 inches of snow already and is snowing hard as I write this report! Best of luck and be safe. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Nov 5th, 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing has been slow for this time of year. Very few anglers on the water. Most are shore fishing with minnows during low light conditions, with both good and poor reports for some. Temps are close to normal for this time of year, the leaves are all down, and some snow now and then. Grouse hunters have slowed up as well with most happy with the season. Bow hunting has been slow with deer numbers on the low end. Bucks are early into the rut. Most hunters now have their eye on the up coming rifle season beginning Nov. 15th.Best of luck in the woods and on the water, soon to be ice! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Oct, 22nd 2014

Lake Gogebic angler activity has been light. Fishing remains very good with most reports coming from shore anglers using minnows during low light conditions. Grouse hunting has been excellent and most of the leaves have now fallen. Deer hunting has been slow and bear season ends Oct. 26th. Best of luck in the woods and on the water! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Oct 15th , 2014

Lake Gogebic fall fishing has been great for most. Primarily shore anglers during low light conditions have been producing some great walleye on minnows others fishing weed edges from 9to 11ft. and steep edges near 20ft. and over. Smallmouth action has also been good using minnows. Fall colors are hanging on yet with about 40% of leaves still on trees. Grouse hunting has been great as well with good numbers being seen, including woodcock. Best of luck in the woods and on the water. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Oct 1, 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing was slow this last week, but yesterday a cool front moved in dropping temps and keeper walleye began coming in. Both shore and boat fishermen are seeing better action. Most are using minnows and some are having luck on twister tails. Both walleye and smallmouth have become more active. Cooler temps predicted thru the weekend. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

 Sept,24th 2014

Lake Gogebic angler activity has been light. Minnows are the ticket for both walleye and bass. Perch action has been slow but crawlers are the best. Some weeds are dying off but deeper weed edges are still producing. Continue to fish the edges and break lines. Some have been drifting the deeper mud flats with both crawlers and minnows with success. Fall colors are absolutely brilliant right now, with plenty of moisture the colors should hang on for some time yet. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-336124th 2014

Sept 18 , 2014

Lake Gogebic report is on the slow side this week. Some nice sized walleye and bass continue to come in using minnows on the deep weed edges and also hard bottom edges. Lake Gogebic report mainly weather! Fishing over the past weekend seen some nice fish caught during the chambers fall contest. Little has changed as far as tactics. Minnows and crawlers are now in play with walleye and smallmouth being the target for most as fall nears. Currently fishing is not good for most as another front has moved in. temps in the 40`s with high winds and lots!!!!!!! Of rain! Rain forecast to clear out in the next two days with temp dropping and staying cool into the weekend. All are hoping the cooler temps will begin to improve the fall bite. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear1s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Sept. 4th, 2014

Lake Gogebic action has been on and off once again! Many severe weather fronts continue to move thru every couple days. Lots of rain! Walleye are moving manly to a minnow bite with some using crawlers as well. Some fishing weeds while others are doing well over deep mud 25ft. to 29ft. The fall season is well on its way with water temps dropping. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Aug 14th, 2014

Lake Gogebic  Perch action has been fantastic! Jumbo`s by the bucket! Using crawlers in 7 to 9ft. and also deep mud 25 to 30ft. Walleye action has been good with still most action from undersize fish . Some nice sized eyes are being caught just not constant. Many are already using minnows with excellent luck! Smallmouth continue to produce as well near hard bottom areas. One cold front this week slowed things up for a bit , but more stable weather is forecast. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

August 5th 2014

Lake Gogebic report has improved. Nice Jumbo perch are hitting crawlers  in 25ft. to 30ft. Also from the weeds in 8ft. to 9ft. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort

July 23rd, 2014

July 17th, 2014

Lake Gogebic smallmouth continue to be hitting the best in hard bottom and rocky areas using crawlers. Perch action continues to be slow. Walleye are hitting leeches in 18 to 23 ft. Over all fishing has been poor with each week the bite begins to improve for a few days and another front moves thru and shuts things off again. It appears more seasonal temps are in the forecast. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

July 9th , 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing continues to be very slow.  No stable weather has been part of the reason, as we see warm to cold with winds and rain ect…  Smallmouth have been giving up most of the action with anglers fishing hard bottom rocky areas as they are feeding on crayfish. Perch anglers are pulling a few nice fish from 12 to 16ft.  near the edges of the mud. Walleye are hitting leeches and crawlers fished near the weeds and in the mud but limited success. Good luck. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

July 3rd , 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing has been tough. Several fronts with cold temps have moved thru and kept fishing very slow. Perch action has been slow with a few fish coming from 5 to 10ft. using crawlers. Walleye bite has been best using leeches and crawlers in 7 to 12ft. near the weed edges and in the weeds. Walleye in 22 to 24ft. have been hitting live bait as well over the mud drifted or trolled. Smallmouth continue to hang near the deeper weed edges and hard bottom areas feeding on crayfish. Best of luck! Have a safe and fun holiday! Lake Gogebic report remains about the same. Walleye anglers continue to catch lots of undersize walleye with better reports of some keeper size fish. Bait choices are leeches and crawlers with the minnow bite slowing down. Weed beds are up nicely, so concentrate on the  7 to 12ft. depths with the deeper weed edges producing well. Some nice smallmouth continue to be caught on both artificial and live bait near deeper edges, weed lines and some in the hard bottom rocky areas. Perch anglers are beginning to take some better catches using night crawlers in the weeds. Best of luck to all! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

June 19th , 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing has remained about the same. Fair, but many undersize walleye continue to be caught. Minnows have stayed at the top of the list with leeches and crawlers also working. Anglers are working 7 to 12ft. in the weeds and 18 to 22ft. on the deeper edges. Smallmouth spawning has  ended and those fish are dispersing out from those areas also. Some fish are feeding on crayfish in those hard bottom areas while others are moving to the deeper weed lines. Perch action continues to be slow  with few good reports. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

June 9th, 2014

Lake Gogebic Fishing has been a bit slower this week. Walleye are still running on the short side with a few bass still on the beds. Weed growth is greening up so expect to find some action in those areas as well. Basic summer patterns are on the way. Fathead minnows are still working well along with crawlers and leeches. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort  906-842-3361

June 6th , 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing has been fair with days of great fishing. Walleye are still hitting jig and minnows fished in 16 to 23ft. Crawlers trolled or drifted in the same areas. Crawlers and leeches are quickly picking up fished in 7 to 12 ft. over emerging weeds. Smallmouth action has been on and off the past few days with fish moving in and out from spawning areas. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

May 28th, 2014

Lake Gogebic walleye action has slowed from a fantastic bite. Post spawn female walleye are not as active now and have moved to deeper break lines. Smaller males are still active and keeping anglers busy with undersize fish.  Jig and minnow are still tops with crawlers and leeches also stating to work. Warm weather has moved the smallmouth in to spawn with action that is amazing! Large numbers of fish are being caught near shore using both live bait and artificials. Have a great time! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361.

May 22, 2014

Lake Gogebic report has been good! Walleye are still spawning, moving in and out. Expect lots of milking males. Most are fishing 6 to 18ft. working jigs and minnows. Use fatheads and sucker minnows with the fatheads producing a few more fish. Water levels have been dropping closer to normal for this time of year. Have a great time! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

May 16th , 2014

Lake Gogebic opener is a success! Cold temps and wind kept boat activity light. Mixed reports from undersize fish to great catches of very nice sized walleye. Some great northern pike are coming in as well. Most are jig and minnow fishing from 2 to 18ft. Some crank bait activity as well. Night fishing has been productive for the larger eyes . Weather conditions are to improve over the weekend with high around 60. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

May , 8th 2014

Lake Gogebic ice is on its way out. As of noon today I can see 3 miles of open water! It may not all be clear as of now, but should be no problem for the opener. Water levels are still high so keep in mind you may have some difficulties at docks and landings. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

April 28th , 2014

Lake Gogebic ice conditions are deteriorating. Shorelines are becoming unsafe as windy conditions began to shift ice. Travel is not recommended! Will provide periodic updates on ice out conditions for all those anxious to float a boat! Gogebic`s walleye opener is May 15th! So let`s hope for seasonal temps to return for an ice out a bit sooner than last year! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

April 23rd, 2014

Lake Gogebic report is still good. Lake conditions have improved, travel has been good. Nice perch have been hitting the ice for the few anglers that are out there. Weather conditions forecast show mild days with freezing temps at night. Remember to use caution, mostly near any shoreline inlets and high traveled access points. Be safe and best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

April 15th , 2014

ake Gogebic ice conditions have improved some. Angler pressure has been very light and reports are that fishing has been slower also. Anglers have been catching a few nice perch using wigglers in 23ft. to 28ft. but just not getting large numbers of fish. Heavy slush has been reduced to 6 to 12 inches in places with colder temps allowing some atv travel. Expect 24 to 30 inches of ice. Mornings have been cold so the lake surface has been good travel, with some difficulty later in the day if things warm up. Some areas are much better than others so just check locally before heading out. We have had recent snow of about 2 to 4 inches and the weeks forecast shows cold temps, so travel should hold about the same. Use caution near shoreline inlets that may still be covered with snow. Reports are of angler activity with no guarantee of safety, so use caution, check locally and be safe. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

April 4th, 2014

Lake Gogebic fishing continues it`s up and down trend. Lake conditions began to improve and anglers reporting even limit catches of perch! But the good one day and bad the next was also included in those reports. Winter weather continues with 20 inches of new heavy wet snow today. Lake travel is still best by snowmobile. Expect slushy conditions, but lake ice is still winter ready! Best of luck. Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

March 22nd , 2014

Lake Gogebic report has been snow and more snow! Perch fishing has been on again off again. Few anglers are out with good reports one day and poor reports the next. Anglers are still fishing over the mud in 22ft. to 26ft. using wigglers. Lake travel is tough with lots of snow, snowmobiles are needed and foot travel will be best using snow shoes. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

March 13th, 2014

Lake Gogebic reports are looking better. Milder temps have had a few more anglers out on the ice and the bite has improved as well! Perch anglers are using wigglers and spikes in 22ft. to 26ft with fair reports. Walleye action has been fair using suckers in 9ft. to 18ft. and also 24ft. to 28ft. Reminder on walleyes that the season closes this sat. March 15th!!! Lake travel is  snowmobile only or if on foot snowshoes will be a great help. Recent mild weather did settle the snow pack some, but expect areas with deep snow and slush under it. Plenty of ice out there, just use caution not to get stuck in the less traveled areas. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Feb 19,2013

Lake Gogebic fishing is on the up side! Perch anglers have been doing very well in 22ft. to 26ft. using wigglers. Warmer temps have  perked up the fish and the anglers. Walleye action has been fair with most action on sucker minnows in 24ft. to 26ft. of water. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Jan 5th, 2014

Lake Gogebic angler pressure continues to be very light. Both perch and walleye action have been very spotty. A few excellent walleye reports in 16 to 24ft using sucker minnows under tip-ups. Most perch anglers are fishing 21 to 25ft using wigglers with only a few fish to show for it. Weather conditions remain cold with below zero temps at night and lots of snow on top with areas of slush. Snowmobile is recommended. Best of luck! Lake Gogebic report has been slow. Very few anglers have been out. Mostly due to cold temps and snow. A few perch are still hitting wigglers in 20 to 25ft. and walleye are hitting sucker minnows in 10 to 16ft during low light conditions and also in 24 to 28ft depths. Expect lots of snow and areas of slush! Snowmobile travel is a must. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort 906-842-3361

Lake Gogebic deep freeze is breaking. The bitter cold temps have been keeping most anglers inside along with the fish not being very cooperative. Perch anglers have been doing the best, the few that have been out. Use wigglers in 20 to 24ft. most walleye anglers are fishing sucker minnows in 10 to 16ft. and also some in 23 to 26ft.The weekends milder temps will hopefully bring out both the fish and anglers anxious to get back out. Best of luck! Barry (Bear) Drews at bear`s Nine Pines Resort. 906-842-3361

Lake Gogebic  fishing has slowed a bit with bitter cold temps. Walleye are being very fickle with the cold temps. Perch anglers  are still coaxing some nice size perch onto the ice using wigglers, but has slowed from what it was. Concentrate on 20 to 24ft. depths.  Ice travel is good . Most slush pockets have firmed up allowing snowmobile and ATV`s to travel on top. Be cautious of some slush areas that ATV`s may cut thru the top layer, but most with chains are still doing fine. Best of luck and have a happy and safe new year! Barry (Bear) Drews at Bear`s Nine Pines Resort

Lake Gogebic ice conditions are very good. Snowmobile and ATV travel are both  good. Expect 8 to 12 inches of ice with 6 to 12 inches of snow on top. Some slush pockets with 4 to 6 inches of slush and water on top. ATV travel will be best with a set of chains. Walleye are hitting sucker minnows and jigging baits mostly during low light conditions in 7 to 14 feet. Some Northern Pike using the sucker minnows as well. Perch anglers are moving about in the deeper water now in 20 to 25 feet using wigglers! Enjoy the great conditions and be safe. Have a great Holiday season! Lake Gogebic ice is on! Deer hunting report has been fair with not much hunting pressure and hunters happy with snow on the ground! The main lake is now froze over, but anglers are only fishing the bays. Good snow cover on the ice will insulate and slow the building of ice. Early ice can be very!!!! unpredictable so pleeeeeese! use caution and check locally wherever you may be heading out! These reports are no guarantee of safety, only reports of angler activity. Anglers fishing 4ft. to 8ft. are catching walleye using sucker minnows below tip-ups and also jigging rapalas mostly during low light conditions. Be safe and have fun!
