Walleye and Northern Pike Season Opens on Lake Gogebic

May 15, 2027

In Michigan’s Upper Peninsula the walleye and northern pike season opens May 15 every year. Lake Gogebic is the biggest inland lake in the UP and one of its best walleye waters, with resorts, bait, boat launches and guides around the shore. Check the Michigan DNR fishing guide for limits and license details, and the Lake Gogebic Area Chamber of Commerce fishing pages for where to stay and launch.
